 MINISTRIES
WORSHIP MINISTRY - The Worship Ministry has choirs and groups for all ages, and each of these groups offers opportunities for growth, fellowship and support. You will find the people who fill our choirs to be open and loving. You will also find people who love to use the abilities God has given them to share His love with others. The Sanctuary Choir is an adult choir who sings in the 8:30 am Classic Worship Service. The Sanctuary Orchestra is open to high school students and adults interested in playing in Worship Services. The Praise Team is a group of adults and older youth that lead in the 11:00 am Contemporary Worship Service. Children Choirs are for the 4 year olds - 6th grade. The Student choir is for 7th-12th grades.

BIBLE STUDY - The teaching of God's Word is central to our mission and purpose. Through our Bible Study Ministry, members of our church family answer the call to teach all ages in our fellowship. Though our ultimate curriculum is the Bible, we employ many creative resources to communicate the truth found only in Holy Scripture. Our Bible Study classes also enjoy great times of fellowship as they gather for all kinds of activities that promote and strengthen relationships in Christ.

CHILDRENS MINISTRY -

Our ministry exists to help children...
K
now Christ as their personal Savior and Lord
Invest their time in God's word and prayer
Discover His plan for their lives
Zero in on serving and sharing their faith

YOUTH - This is not just your ordinary youth ministry, it's a SWIRL Ministry. Our goal is to bring youth from the OUTSIDE of God's family, God's fellowship, God's church, and God's purpose and swirl them inward to the very core of God's family, God's fellowship, God's church and God's purpose. S.W.I.R.L. stands for:
S = STUDY – It’s vital that we study God’s Word.  We want to increase our knowledge of God so we can walk straighter in our Christian walk and be prepared to respond to God.
W = WIN – We are into winning youth over to the salvation through Jesus Christ.  God won when His Son died on the cross.  All we have to do is join His team and participate in the victory.
I = IMPROVE – You will find many opportunities to serve.  We want to improve the outside and inside of churches, homes, and lives of those inside and outside the city limits of Tomball.
R = REACH – First Baptist Church wants to reach out to the youth in the Tomball and the surrounding areas through a wide variety of ministries geared toward youth.  The outcome of each ministry is to equip youth to reach out to other youth.  Their reaching out is a ministry within itself.
L = LAUGH – God has given all of us a giggle box and it’s a shame that we don’t use it more.  We love to fellowship in the FBCT Youth Ministry and each fellowship is designed to make us laugh with each other and sometimes at each other (in a good and positive way).

LADIES MINISTRY - The ladies of our church are blessed with year-round opportunities to be involved in regular bible studies and other special events that provide great times for stengthening one's discipleship. An annual retreat is a highlight of the year's activities.

GREETERS - Who in their "right mind" would each Sunday want to wear a bright orange vest, a hat, have an umbrella at the ready and be on their feet through all kinds of weather - all the while keeping a smile on their face as they assist people with parking, unloading, pointing guests to the Guest Center... well, our Greeters, of course! And more greeters are at our Greeters Center to help newcomers find the right place for Bible Study, child care, the best way to get to worship, etc. Give our Greeters a "hug" this Sunday. They do a great job!

MEDIA/LIBRARY - No church can have a vibrant ministry without resources for teaching. And since learning occurs in so many different ways, a growing church needs a library that provides a variety of materials in different formats. Our library has a wealth of knowledge in traditional "book format," but they also have a multitude of other media for the teaching/learning process for young and old.

MISSIONS - You can't talk about the ministry of our church without noting that missions is central to all we do! Our Missions Ministry Team leads our church in missions work both near and far. Recently we have sent groups - both young and "old" - to locations that range from Russia to Paris, France. Our weekly offerings provide financial support for thousands of missionaries sent forth from our Southern Baptist Convention with the Good News of Jesus as their message!

NURSING HOME MINISTRY - We have a group of dedicated folks who have given themselves to those in our community who often are forgotten - senior adults in various care facilities in our area. Worship services, Bible studies and large amounts of hugs and love are shared each week from our church by servants who are called to love those who spent their lives loving us.

PRAYER - Our Prayer Ministry Team quietly supports our church's ministry with faithful dedication. Every week during every worship service, prayers are being offered up for the congregation and pastoral staff that God would be honored and that many would come to know Him by faith in Christ.

TECH TEAM - Virtually everything our church does requires communication through sound and light and some type of visual aid. We have a dedicated group of people who quietly to enable these functions without fanfare or recognition. No longer a simple job of just "turning on a microphone," these people face an array of controls and displays that provide the best communication possible for the Good News of Jesus.

USHERS -
It seems like such a simple thing to do - i.e. pass out bulletins and help people find a seat for worship, but have you ever been to a church where these things did not happen effectively? We are thankful for our Usher Ministry Team that does a great job with those tasks - and others like helping with major worship events such as Easter, Christmas, etc.

WEE SCHOOL - The WEE School is a Weekday Early Education program for children one year old through pre-kindergarten age. It meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 am - 2:30 pm and follows the TISD school year calendar. Full curriculum is utilized with all age groups in a Christian learning environment. For more information or to enroll your child for this school year, please call 281-351-4997.
